Non-governmental universities operate within competitive conditions and face environmental risks, underscoring the imperative to prioritize organizational resilience. Recognizing the significance of resilience in this academic context, this research aims to furnish a framework for a resilient non-governmental university. Employing a mixed-methods approach encompassing qualitative and quantitative analyses, the study adopts an exploratory perspective with an initial reliance on thematic analysis. Data collection involves semi-structured interviews conducted with 15 managers and professors from non-governmental universities, utilizing a purposeful snowball sampling method.
In the quantitative phase, a descriptive-survey method is employed, targeting the entire population some of the non-governmental universites employees in tehran. The sample size is set at 200, utilizing a random clustering sampling method. Analysis of quantitative data is conducted using Smart PLS and SPSS software. The research's findings reveal a comprehensive thematic network, comprising 320 basic themes, 42 organizing themes, and 8 overarching themes. Within this thematic network, the resilient non-governmental university encompasses eight comprehensive themes: Executive Resilience, Resilient Culture, Financial Resilience, Resilient Leadership, Strategic Resilience, Educational Resilience, Resilient Staff, and Resilient Environment. The framework for a resilient university is articulated through the identification of main and sub-themes. The final model, representing the resilient university framework, undergoes approval.
