Purpose: Coaching is a conversation that helps individuals or teams achieve their desired goals by focusing on discovering and action. Coaching is designed to improve existing skills, competencies, and performance, as well as to promote personal effectiveness or personal development, or personal growth. Therefore, in general, the purpose of coaching is to develop individuals. The purpose of this qualitative research is to provide a reflective learning model in coaching relationships in the ICT industry.
Method: Semi-structured interviews were used to extract the main components of the reflective learning model in coaching relationships in the ICT industry and in-depth interviews were conducted with 18 experts in the field of coaching. The participants were selected using purposive sampling method of theoretical sampling.
Results: 5 categories and 35 concepts were extracted using induction coding stage using Cronholm and Gold Kohl multiple foundation data methods. Conceptual refinement, model coding (model presentation), theoretical model adaptation, experimental validation and evaluation of theoretical coherence of the model and enrichment of the theory are described.
Conclusion: At its core, coaching culture facilitates and encourages individual and collective learning, because without agility in learning and discarding previously inefficient learning and acquiring new skills, the existing culture will not change to a better and desirable culture. In coaching, people are not given ready-made solutions or general recommendations. A coaching process puts the individual in a position to act so that clients can identify their potential with the skills they are learning and apply them to overcome problems.
